A short story

Yes! I accept… I mean the invitation to join

Is a chance, I admit. A chance to join a club, in a way a salon as my famous namesake Anne-Marie Gaillard, best known as Nina De Callias. A true artist, renowned for her striking looks, extravagant ideas and generosity, Nina's bohemian salon attracted the liveliest talents in the 1870s, including Stéphane Mallarmé and Edouard Manet whose portrait of Nina was reproduced to illustrate a poem by her friend Charles Cros.

It was not long time ago when our “paths” crossed again. Though, for another reason. It was a point that stad mo chroí. You see, except an artist Nina was also famous for the vigor of her sexual life her fondness for alcohol and her alternating moods of hilarity and depression, her came to an early end.

But I’m back, or I think I am back. My concept of normality is not normal. Coffee is pouring out my ears. It's the only thing they have in here. That’s normal. What is really abnormal is happening to the land of my ancestors. Not only in Greece, but in Europe as a whole, in the world.

I am multiracial and as you figure out, New York is my city. I will be at your service. Please understand I don’t make that statement lightly.
